Dozens of world-renowned awards including Bharat Ratna APJ Abdul Kalam was a man of great mastery in the world of science. He received titles and honors from all over the world. APJ Abdul Kalam was conferred an Honorary Doctorate by selected 40 universities of the world. The Government of India honored APJ Abdul Kalam with the highest civilian honors Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan, and Bharat Ratna for his unprecedented work in the field of science, research, and security. APJ Abdul Kalam said goodbye to this world while giving a lecture in Shillong on 27 July 2015.
